Constant Conversations

Woah. Loved Passion Pit's "Constant Conversations" to begin with (if you haven't checked out their new album Gossamer yet, please do so now), and St. Lucia gives the track an awesome remix. Feels like the song was dismantled, slowed down a tad, a few pan flutes and lurching synths were tossed in, and then it was sewn up again. Different, yes, but very much the same. Excellent -- and definitely worth the free download below.

Tonight

So, Pusha-T likes to feature on R&B songs? Alright, I can handle that. There's nothing like a few bars from the King of Coke Rap himself. This song is actually pretty solid. Although I've never listened to much John Legend, this track is nice. Pusha's verse is definitely the highlight. Enjoy...

Diced Pineapples

Yes, this is a real song. Yes, this is an awesome song. Yes, this song is called “Diced Pineapples.” Why? Rozay himself explained: “When I got out of the hospital — you know, I had a seizure last year — when I was leaving, the doctor told me, ‘You gotta eat some more fruit, drink you some water, eat fruit and just relax for a little while.’ My fruit of choice was pineapples. For the next three weeks, I woke up every morning and ate diced pineapples, and I put the concept together. Drizzy came in, as well as Wale, and it’s kinda like, ‘She could be my diced pineapple. This special lady, she could be what I wake up to every morning and help me get by every day.” (Courtesy of our friends at Rap Genius)

Either way, the song is awesome. Way better than a lot of the material on Da Bawse’s new album, God Forgives, I Don’t, which (in my opinion) is slightly underwhelming.

But I guess it’s always tough to live up to the hype. Listen below.
