Words cannot describe Nicki Minaj's current popularity streak. She's appeared in songs with everybody from Lil' Wayne to Jay Sean, sampled Annie Lennox, and today she debuted a brand new track with will.i.am (of Black Eyed Peas fame) called "Check It Out". Right now, the most popular music trend seems to be sampling older pop songs to make hits (i.e. "Forever Young" by Alphaville → "Young Forever" by Jay-z & Mr. Hudson). What's interesting about this song is that it samples timeless 80s pop song "Video Killed The Radio Star" by The Buggles while still maintaining a modern, 2010 sound. Or should I say 3010? THIS IS GONNA BE HUGE
